SOFTSWISS’s CTO gets candid on AI hype, Tech Race and why the room matters more than the stage.

In July, iGB announced the media partnership between SOFTSWISS and World Gaming for Tech Race Summit 2026 in September.

Recently, Margaret Dunn, portfolio director at WorldGaming, interviewed Sergey Kastukevich, chief technology officer at SOFTSWISS, in a primer of both Tech Race and ICE Hall 7. The pair also shared their perspective on the development of AI in the industry.

“Tax collection is part of the economic game and all sectors contribute,” Durigan said. “The same happens with betting.”

He argued the sector should be treated with the same rigour currently applied to cigarettes.

There was also strong interest in prioritisation tools, with 75% placing high value (8/10 or above) on daily prioritised action guidance for each player. 

However, 38% expressed concern that adopting AI might reduce the personal, human touch in VIP management.
